IVP Dave Haggerty, second from left, is congratulated for his NMAPC service by, l. to r., Bob Hoover of Kvaerner North America Construction and NMAPC Management Co-Chair; Steve Lindauer, NMAPC CEO and Impartial Secretary; and SAIP Tony Jacobs, the Boilermakers’ Director of National Construction Agreements.

DAVE HAGGERTY, International Vice President for the Northeast Section, received recognition during the Construction Sector Operations Conference at Marco Island March 7 for the work he performed as a member of the National Maintenance Agreement Policy Committee (NMAPC) and for his service on the organization’s board of directors.

The NMAPC negotiates and administers collective-bargaining agreements used by more than 2,000 industrial contractors who employ members of 14 unions from the building trades.

Haggerty was appointed Director of National Construction Agreements for the Boilermakers union in 2006 by International President Newton B. Jones. He was elected to the NMAPC board of directors in 2009. In July 2011, he left the committee to assume his duties as a Boilermaker IVP.

Steve Lindauer, NMAPC CEO and Impartial Secretary-Treasurer, presented the award, joined by Bob Hoover, NMAPC’s management co-chair and Vice President of Kvaerner North America Construction, Inc., and Tony Jacobs, SAIP and the Boilermakers’ current Director of National Construction Agreements.

“Your friends and colleagues really wish you all the best and God’s speed,” said Lindauer. “I really appreciate all that you did for us.”
