SENATE IMMIGRATION BILL DEFEATED!

By a vote of 46-53, the US Senate failed to achieve cloture on S. 1639, the comprehensive immigration reform bill. Immediately following the vote, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) removed the bill from further consideration.

This is a great victory for our industry, our unions and, most importantly, our members and their families.

Thanks for all your hard work and the efforts that were put forth at each stage of this process.
