HistoryThe Midwest Boilermakers Industrial Council was Chartered July 1, 2002 as the Indiana State Metal Polishers Conference. On January 10, 2006, the name was changed in accordance with the International constitution and Council By-Laws, from the Indiana State Metal Polishers Conference to the Midwest Boilermakers Industrial Council. Services Provided to LodgesThe Council provides leadership training in the following areas: collective bargaining, grievance handling, duty of fair representation, quarterly audits, LM reports, FMLA, HIPAA, and arbitration. Future Training and MeetingsThe Council meets twice a year at the Hampton Inn in Kokomo, Ind., hometown of Local M-24. At the 2009 meeting the Council held classes on contract bargaining taught by David Nack and Michael Childers from School for Workers. The Delegates voted on new by-laws and voted on election officers for the Council. The next meeting will be on April 8, 9, & 10, 2010. Representative Lodges and Industries
