MOST holds project management training

FIFTEEN MEMBERS FROM 10 Boilermaker lodges traveled to Kansas City, Missouri, to attend a project management training class sponsored by MOST, the Boilermakers’ Mobilization, Optimization, Stabilization and Training Fund. Held at the Embassy Suites Hotel near Kansas City International Airport Jan. 23-27, the class teaches Boilermakers to take leadership roles in managing multi-craft projects, and to make decisions that positively benefit the owner, the contractor and the union.

SIXTEEN CONSTRUCTION BOILERMAKERS completed the MOST project management course held in Kansas City, Mo., Jan. 10-15. The course teaches members how to manage a project in a business-like manner, enhancing the value that Boilermakers bring to contractor and owner communities as well as to the union.

Launched in 2004, the MOST Project Management Program was developed in conjunction with management consultant FMI and Cornell University.

International announces scholarship winners

Thirty-one Boilermaker dependents earn awards totaling $50,000

THE BOILERMAKERS’ International Executive Council scholarship committee announced the winners of its 2015 scholarship program this past April. The committee awarded $50,000 to 31 recipients, with $38,000 being allocated to U.S. applicants and $12,000 to Canadian applicants.
