DELEGATES TO THE 41st annual LEAP conference welcomed legislators, congressional aides, and other guests to the Boilermakers’ congressional reception March 18 to continue the work of building good relationships.

L-482 daughter wins Union Plus Scholarship

Alicia Hines is one of 108 winners representing 40 unions

ALICIA HINES, daughter of Ernest K. Hines, a 10-year member of Local 482 (Wood River, Ill.), has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship from Union Plus.

Effective Dec. 15, 2007 to Dec. 14, 2013, for five members of the National Cement Lodge who work in shipping and maintenance at Cemex, a manufacturer of Portland cement in Neville Island, Pa.

Local 5 — New York

Effective Dec. 1, 2007 to Nov. 30, 2008, for two members of Local 5, New York, who make fiberglass storage tanks at Cardinal Fiberglass Industries Inc.
