Services and Responsibilities

The Accounting Department’s responsibilities include providing support to the International Secretary-Treasurer in maintaining the financial records of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Blacksmiths, Forgers, & Helpers.

The Accounting department is responsible for processing and recording the International’s daily financial transactions involving investments, fixed assets, Officers, Staff, and employees’ payroll, Headquarters’ accounts payable and Local Lodge Membership billing.

Under the direction of the International Secretary-Treasurer, this office also administers the Officers’ & Employees’ Pension Plan, Death Benefit Plan, Legislative Education Action Program (Campaign Assistance Fund and Legislative Education Fund), the lodge audit database, and the International officers, staff and employees’ benefits.
