Boilermakers Collective Bargaining Institutes

Each summer, the Department of Education and Training Services sponsors two week-long collective bargaining institutes on the University of Wisconsin campus. Classes are taught by University of Wisconsin faculty associated with the UW School for Workers [uwex.edu] and International staff.

The two institutes offered are Basic and Advanced Collective Bargaining. Subject matter includes introductory courses in collective bargaining, grievance handling, administering the contract, preparing for arbitrations, political action, strategic planning, occupational safety and health issues, and building the union.

Classes are taught on the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison, Wisconsin.
