Brotherhood plans response to inaccurate news story

The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers learned May 13 that the Kansas City Star has published an article concerning the Brotherhood that we believe is inaccurate and incomplete, and distorts the truth about our union.

We will address the issues put forth in the story more fully in the near future. In the meantime, we have posted a copy of a letter sent by our attorney to the story's author, Judy Thomas, prior to the article being published. The letter was in response to questions submitted by the author that, we believe, showed a right-wing bias and erroneous assumptions about how labor unions operate.
